The Southern Homelessness Services Network (SHSN) comprises all funded Specialist Homelessness Services in the Southern Region including services providing crisis, transitional, family violence and youth support and accommodation.  The SHSN is a resource for the homelessness sector in the South.   

 

This website provides information and resources about homelessness, with a focus on the Southern Region of Melbourne to support improved service coordination among Specialist Homelessness Services as well as allied services working with people experiencing homelessness.

If you have been approved for a private rental property and need help with your first month’s rent or if you are behind in your rent and need help with rent arrears you can apply for PRAP assistance -

Private Rental Assistance Program (PRAP) directly on 9556 5775

for people residing in: 

  • Cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia

  • Cities of Port Philip, Stonnington, Glen Eira, Bayside, Kingston, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula

If you are experiencing family violence in Southern Melbourne,        call 000 if you are in immediate danger.  Contact the following services for assistance
